Overview

This policy is maintained by the FindMyJob team to explain how we handle personal information you provide when using our website, eligibility questionnaire, and document upload flow.

Who we are

FindMyJob operates a recruitment lead service focused on UK job opportunities. For questions about this policy or your data, contact hi@ukjobs.net.

What we collect

  • Contact details — full name, email, phone number.
  • Eligibility answers — nationality, country of residence, right-to-work status, visa status, English level, experience.
  • Documents — CV, passport or national ID, and optional certificates you choose to upload.
  • Identity capture — photos of your ID and a selfie so our team can confirm the documents belong to you.
  • Technical data — basic device and browser information, and events such as which step of the form you completed.

How we use it

  • To assess your eligibility for the job you applied for.
  • To contact you about opportunities that match your profile.
  • To detect fraud or fake submissions.
  • To improve the service (aggregated funnel analytics only).

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

Your information may be shared with:

  • Our internal review team.
  • Employers or licensed recruitment partners for roles you have applied for.
  • Cloud infrastructure providers we use to host and process the data (acting as processors under contract).

We do not transfer your data outside the UK/EEA without appropriate safeguards.

Storage and security

Data is transmitted over TLS and stored encrypted at rest. Documents live in a private storage bucket that is not publicly readable — only authenticated members of the review team can request time-limited access links.

Retention

We keep your application for up to 12 months so we can match you against new opportunities. You can ask us to delete your data at any time and we will remove your record and uploaded documents within 30 days, except where we must keep something to meet a legal obligation.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the data we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate data;
  • ask us to delete your data;
  • object to or restrict certain processing;
  • ask for a copy of your data in a portable format;
  • complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

To exercise any of these, email hi@ukjobs.net.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of strictly-necessary cookies to keep the site working (for example, saving your cookie choice). Analytics or marketing cookies are only set with your consent. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
